WHAT'S HAPPENING!
The 2008
Children's Summer Reading Program
will be one long, exciting, wild "read." Pick
up a "Wild Reads! Schedule of Events" to start
noting favorite event dates and times on your
calendar. And then plan to bring your logbook to the
library during the week of June 23-June 28 to
collect your first reading prize!
Westford's Young Adults and Teens can look forward
to
TEEN SURVIVOR
for their Summer Reading
Program fun. Read great books, vote books off the
island, "survive" the summer and win sweet prizes.
Adults, your program promises to sweep you
off your feet when you samba over to Information
Services and sign up for Reading with the Stars!
Expect to have fun, hope to win prizes, and look
forward to that Kimball's Ice Cream cone when you
reach your goal!!

HOLIDAY GIFT!
Patrons are
exclaiming over the attractive and comfortable new lounge furniture and
study furniture in the Reference area purchased by the Friends of the J.
V. Fletcher Library, Inc. and by the Board of Library Trustees. Have
you seen the beautiful new furniture and new carpeting in the
circulation area and both browsing parlors? Try our new computer bar on
the second floor mezzanine. Town funding literally laid the ground work
by paying for new carpet and paint, while all new furnishings were
underwritten by the Friends and the Trustees. We can be thankful for
such a dedicated and generous Friends of the Library group -- take time
out from your busy holiday season by having a cup of coffee or hot
chocolate from Aesop's Tables cafe or by resting between errands in our
beautiful new periodicals area.
