“People who keep journals have life twice.” — Jessamyn West, To See the Dream

The J.V. Fletcher Library is collecting a digital archive of community members’ experiences of the COVID-19 Pandemic in real time. There are multiple ways you can participate and submit your experiences to this archive.
Record a Digital Daily Journal
The Framingham History Center has created an Excel template for anyone who wants to record a line-a-day journal for the duration of the pandemic (and beyond). We have modified this template for our library. Although you are not obligated to submit your journal to the J.V. Fletcher Library’s COVID-19 Digital Archive, if you live or work in Westford, we would greatly appreciate it if you considered doing so. You can submit journals to our digital archive by emailing them as attached files to reference@westfordlibrary.org. A staff member will review all submissions and will follow up with you when they are able. All submitted journals will be assumed submissions to the Archive. Submissions from minors will only be identified by their initials at this time. The physical archive will include full names for historical purposes.
Submit Your Photos
Take photos of your daily experiences during the COVID-19 Pandemic and submit them to our digital archive by emailing them as attached files to reference@westfordlibrary.org. A staff member will review all submissions and will follow up with you when they are able. Please note: The file size limit is 3.5 MB. All submitted photos will be assumed submissions to the Archive. Submissions from minors will only be identified by their initials at this time. The physical archive will include full names for historical purposes.
What about Traditional Collection Donations?
The J.V. Fletcher Library is currently not accepting donations of physical objects. We will update this page if and when that policy changes.
