This program is for 9-12 graders only. A waiver is required and will be sent via email prior to the event. Please only register for one Intro to Horse Care Program.

This program will introduce students to the equine program at Good Pickin’ Farm. The afternoon will be an educational day that will provide students with many opportunities to begin to understand what can be fun at the farm with the horses. Activities will include observation and horse behavior basics, as well as grooming and equine welfare management. Students will also learn how to become a volunteer in a therapeutic riding class as a side walker or a horse handler. The goal is to showcase the many ways an afternoon at the farm can be fun and beneficial to our horses and riders through care and kindness.
