The Teen and Tween Summer Reading Program is for Westford students entering grades five through 12. Whether you’re reading at home or on vacation, you can keep track of your reading and enjoy some incentives along the way. Staying in town? Join us for a selection of amazing library events.
Registration for Summer Reading and all events begins MAY 29. Drop by the Library to pick up a program guide and self-paced reading log. Registration for all of the events can be done online through the EVENTS page, by phone at 978-399-2302, or in person in the Youth Services Department.
How it works:
Fill out a registration form found across from the Main Desk and be sure to pick up a Summer Reading Log. Read or listen to age-appropriate books. These can include: audiobooks, Playaways, online books, graphic novels, fiction, and/or non-fiction books in any genre…reading over the summer months is the goal.

Keep track of the books you read on the Summer Reading log. Visit the Youth Services Department each week and show the Librarian what you have been reading for a raffle ticket for our weekly and grand prize raffles.
We also offer a series of fun programs over the summer. Registration is online from both our Teen and Tweens Summer Reading Programs link on the website (LINK), and from our full Calendar of Events.
In addition to the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library, several local businesses support our program by donating special prizes that we give away during our weekly raffles. You can earn a raffle ticket once a week for the books you have read. You can also earn a raffle ticket from the Main circulation desk if you check out a book (limit to one per day). You can enter one of the three weekly raffles or one of the three grand prize raffles.
You can also participate if you are away for all or part of the summer. Just keep track of your reading over the summer months and email them and your prize selection for the week to: firstname.lastname@example.org
