OUTDOOR Preschool Concert with the Rockabye Beats
TIME CHANGE TO 11 AM – Thursday, September 16
The big kids are back to school so that means the younger kids get an outdoor Rockabye Beats show. Marcos and Shon present a preschool level energetic show with dancing, singing, and playing along. This free program is generously funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library. Drop in, no registration required. If rain is definitely forecast, we will announce as soon as we can if we need to cancel the show.
OUTDOOR Halloween Spooktacular with the Toe Jam Puppet Band
Saturday, October 30 at 2:30 p.m.
It is a trick or treat party with the Toe Jam Puppet Band’s all original Halloween songs and mayhem. Toe Jam will dress up in their kooky Halloween gear and dance some spooky dances like ‘Do the Frankie’ (as in Frankenstein). The show is full of Toe Jammy Monsters and just maybe silly string too. This program is for kids ages 4 and up with their caregivers (older kids are more than welcome too) and is generously funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library.
This program is planned for outside attendance. If weather does not permit, the program will not take place.
Holiday Sing Along with Steve Blunt
Thursday, December 16 at 10:30 a.m.
Celebrate the season with musician Steve Blunt – we’ll be ringing jingle bells, dancing, and singing along. This program is for all ages. We are not sure yet if this program will take place virtually but will update this page as soon as we know.
Indoor Mini Golf
Wednesday, December 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
It’s back – a nine hole (and a bonus hole) mini-golf course all over the library – here is something to do with the whole family during the holiday break. This free drop-in program is generously funded by the KDK Memorial Foundation (in honor of Kurt Kelly). If Covid restrictions require timed entry, we will let you know here.
VIRTUAL Count Down to Noon New Year Celebration
Thursday, December 30 at 11 a.m.
The Youth Services librarians cannot possibly stay up until midnight so sign up for a fun filled virtual New Year’s party with a kid friendly craft, a dramatic performance, potential dancing, and a celebratory countdown with noisemakers and hats! This free program is geared for children ages 5 and under with their caregivers (but let’s face it – will be a good time for all) and is generously funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library.
Sign up starting Monday, December 13 to reserve your bag of fun stuff and then come pick it up at the library before the program on December 30.
