The kids summer reading program begins the week of June 22. You will find all kinds of information about the summer reading program on the Summer Reading Program (Toddler to Grade 4) page. You can find all of these on our Calendar of Events.
This page gives you a list and a brief description of all of our Virtual program offerings presented by your favorite Youth Services staff and Special Programs that have been funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library and the KDK Foundation in honor of Kurt Kelley.
Be sure to scroll all of the way down!

Summer Reading Finale with the Toe Jam Puppet Band
LIVE Drive in concert, Wednesday, August 12 at 6:30 p.m. Even Covid can’t keep us from having an end of summer Toe Jam party! Pack up the car and join us in the parking lot at the back of the library.
Drive in and tune your AM radio to 1610 – WJVF Radio Still Serving You! and enjoy the show! You know the drill by now – wear your pjs, pack some snacks, and enjoy the socially distanced show from the comfort of your vehicle in your own parking space.
Space is limited to the first 50 cars (that is all we have for parking spaces). If we have enough room, you can use the space to the right of your car. This concert and the technology used to listen to it in your car is generously funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library. Rain date is Thursday, August 13 at 6:30 pm.
Story and Sing Along with a Favorite Princess
VIRTUAL, ON DEMAND

Visit from the Real Mother Goose
The real Mother Goose is sending us a video from her farm that we are sure will included favorite rhymes, a story or two, and some fun songs.
June 30 – August 31, VIRTUAL, ON-DEMAND
Dragons: Return of the Ice Sorceress: with Sciencetellers
A long time ago in a faraway world, two brave villagers go on a daring journey to release the dragons and save the kingdom from the Evil Ice Sorceress. When things don’t go as planned, however, they might need to look to themselves (and to science!) for the answer. Watch the video here through August 31.
Due to safety concerns and distancing measures in place, we are offering a variety of virtual programs hosted by the Youth Services staff. We hope you view these programs when convenient for you and that we give you a smile for the day. Please feel free to reach out and send us an email if you like what we are doing and if you have any other ideas. We want to connect with you and your kids as best as we can.
These are the virtual programs we will be posting on the J.V Fletcher Library Youth Services Department Facebook page. Please send us a request to join this private group. The group is private so that we do not violate any copyright restrictions placed on the materials we are reading.
