Downloadable Collections, Homework,Homeschooling, and Other Resources Accessible from Home!

The Library’s e-collections provide downloadable access to music, e-books, audiobooks, magazines, and streaming video.  All of these collections provide entertainment for kids, teens/tweens, and adults.  

Read more here and check out our E-Collections page to stream films through Kanopy and Kanopy Kids, Overdrive for downloadable audio, ebooks, and magazines, and Freegal for downloadable music. Chinese language titles are also available through Overdrive. We have just added Hoopla for downloading movies, audio and ebooks, comics, and music.Hoopla has no waiting lists, In addition to downloadable/streaming children’s collections through these services, check out Tumblebooks through our “Kid’s” page for the best in picture books, graphic novels, “readalongs”, and so much more!

MVLC has compiled a Social Distancing Resource List with links to resources for remote book borrowing, education, and entertainment. Sections include virtual story times, educational sites, and other kid-friendly resources; adult resources for virtual fitness classes, museum tours, live performances, and more.

The Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners has also created a list of free resources that include links to story times and activities for kids, research, outdoor resourcs, and more.
