Library Building Project

The Town of Westford received a provisional grant notice of $7,851,994 from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners for the Library Construction Project on July 7 2022, one year earlier than anticipated. The Westford Community had the opportunity to review and vote on this project at the Strategic Planning Retreat September 8, Special Town Meeting October 17 and the November 8 ballot. Beginning in March 2012, Town Meeting had voted four times to proceed with two separate design and building grants and to match grant funding in order to make this expansion a possibility. To learn more about the Library Building Project, please watch this WestfordCat Informational Discussion with Ellen Rainville, Library Director, and Alisha Hillam, former Chair of the Board of Library Trustees. See the cost breakdown of the future proposed project below.
