ZMakesBeads with Zangar

Tuesday, June 30th 2:00—3:00 p.m.
Westford Recreation Department at Roudenbush Community Center – 3rd floor 65 Main Street
Join us for a creative and meditative beading workshop for kids! Zangar of ZMakesBeads will be here to lead this expressive arts workshop that teaches participants the basics of beaded jewelry making and the difference between semi-precious stones and precious stones. The materials used are semi-precious stones and other natural jewelry materials. Semi-precious stones have been appreciated for generations. Young participants will leave with their own handmade jewelry. No prior art or jewelry-making experience required, all materials and tools are provided. Registration is required. This bead program is for children 8+.
Zangar Freeman is a first-generation Liberian‑American jewelry artist, educator, and veteran. With a background in social work and over a decade of experience in jewelry-making, His work across New England emphasizes accessibility, cultural storytelling, and the power of creative practice as a grounding and reflective tool.
This fun program is sponsored by our wonderful Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Library.
