Summer Reading Kickoff with Magician Mike Bent

Our Summer Reading Program kicks off with our favorite magician Mike Bent. This book-themed show uses hilarious comedy, amazing magic, games, music, sound effects, AND storytelling to motivate kids to get reading. This drop-in program is best for kids ages 4 and up and is generously funded by the Friends of the J.V. Fletcher Libraryt.

Monday, July 1 – four sessions at 2 PM, 2:30 PM, 3 PM, and 3:30 PM
Sign up for one of four half-hour time slots to explore the captivating world of these majestic creatures. Not only will you see, touch, and feel whale artifacts; you actually get to go inside the whale. Please sign up for one time slot. This program is strictly for kids in grade 1 and up and they must be accompanied by an adult.

Family Concert with the Rolie Polie Guacamole Band

This Brooklyn-based band will be in Massachusetts rocking out with out with us on the outdoor stage (inside if it rains). These guys are a GREAT time. This family program is for all ages and is generously funded by the Friends of the J. V. Fletcher Library.

World Champion and four-time Guinness World record holder John Higby will be here to present his unique high energy comedy yo-yo show. This program takes place outside unless it rains – then it is in the Meeting Room.

The BenAnna Band

This nationally touring children’s duo that focuses on music and inclusion for kiddos of all ages, abilities, and identities. The BenAnna Band wants to see you singing, playing, and dancing with them so there will be plenty of opportunities to follow the lyrics for group dancing, playing, and singing along with spotlight moments for everyone to rock out their own way!

Magic Pirate Show with Captain Robbie Bones
