Continuing through the fall session, we have gone virtual with our story times! We are planning to use Google Meets for live story times and book club meetings – links to these events will be sent to registered users.

Please send a request to join the private J.V. Fletcher Library Youth Services Department Facebook page to see all kinds of other fun posts and news from your friends in Youth Services.

In the Fall, we are planning for our bi-annual, free, online registration for Story Times to begin at 6:30 PM the Monday after Labor Day.

We will offer a variety of virtual story time options. Sign ups will open on Monday, September 14 at 6:30PM.

Drop-In Story Times

DRIVE IN Mother Goose will be a weekly DRIVE IN story time for babies and pre-schoolers. This means that if the weather permits (no snow,no rain, no gale force winds), you will drive into our parking lot, tune your AM radio to 1610, and enjoy Mother Goose from your car. You might even want to stop at Muffins on Main for beverage and snack before you pull in …

Youth Services staff will be performing for you live on the lawn and on a raised platform so that you can see. We have 51 spaces available in our lot and you must stay in your vehicle to maintain social distancing.

VIRTUAL Pajama Time is once a month on a Monday evening for children ages 3 to 7. Children can watch in real time – register for each night separately up to 6 pm, you will be emailed a meeting link to log into. Get into those pajamas and grab a favorite stuffed animal or blanket.
